The Department of the Treasury has formally released a brand new blueprint for the $100 bill that will start to circulate February 10, 2011. The new design is strongly improved in terms of security measures, boasting the latest progressions in security technology that should make it pretty much insurmountable to forge.

“This bill incorporates the best available technology to ensure that we keep one step ahead of counterfeiters,” said Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner at a ceremony introducing the ticket to Washington.

In addition to its invention, the main feature of the ticket is a ribbon of blue security in three dimensions at the front; and it carries images of bells and the number 100 that move when handling the ticket. On the left side, the portrait of Benjamin Franklin is kept in the new bank note.On the back of the new note, you can find a sketch of Independence Hall, seen from the back of the building, while the note currently in circulation shows his backside. The reverse is also struck by the words “In God We Trust” (In God we believe). These four words are printed on all tickets since 1957, a year after their acceptance as official currency of the United States.

The US $ 100 bill has the biggest movement since 1969. The central bank (Federal Reserve) believes that two thirds of the notes are circulating outside of the United States. Even after the release of the new ones, the current banknote will still continue to be legal tender post February 10, 2011.

Misogynist

The word 'misogynist' was uttered on tonight’s episode of Glee.

Misogyny is hatred (or contempt) of women or girls. Misogyny comes from Greek misogunia from misos and gynÄ“. It is parallel to misandry—the hatred of men or boys. Misogyny is also comparable with (but not the same as) misanthropy which is the hatred of humanity in general. The prefix miso, meaning hatred or to hate applies in other words, such as misandrist and misogamy.

Misogyny is sometimes confused with the similar looking word, misogamy, which means hatred of marriage, hence the following error.

The more common form of this general word for woman hating is misogunaios.

The fourth chapter of the Qur'an is called Women (An-Nisa). The 34th verse is a key verse in feminist criticism of Islam. The first half of the verse reads: "Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means."

Thanks to the subjective interpretations of the Quran (almost exclusively by men), the preponderance of the misogynic mullahs and the regressive Shariah law in most “Muslim” countries, Islam is synonymously known as a promoter of misogyny in its worst form.

However, in the Arabic Quranic scripture, qawwamun, which is typically translated as "manage" or "take responsibility for", also means that it is the man's responsibility to take care of the woman, feeding and clothing her and her children, and providing them with a place to live.
In contrast to this somewhat polar view there are instances within the Qu'ran that, for its time of revelation, put it far ahead of many other religions and societies of the same era.

However in modern times in comparison to other countries, the social status of women in some Islamic countries is often viewed as unprogressive and limited. The Qu'ran explicitly institutes the protection of a woman's inheritance, allows them the right to divorce and fair provision of assets upon divorce in Surat At-Talaq.

Apple Inc. share price climbed up to an all-time high, thanks to the 90% jump in company's iPhone sales profit.

"We're thrilled to report our best non-holiday quarter ever," Apple CEO, Steve Jobs said in a statement.

The technology goliath announced it doubled sales of its popular 3G iPhone over the similar quarter a year ago, marketing 8.75 million of the handsets since Dec. 27. That was somewhat better than its record sales of 8.7 million during the prime vacation buying season last year.

The company's second-quarter results amazed investors. Its stock surged to more than $257 a share in after-hours dealing, advancing more than 5% over its closing price of $244.59. Apple issued its profits after the markets closed.

Earnings soared to $3.07 billion, nearly double the $1.62-billion total a year ago, on income of $13.5 billion, up 48%. Apple earned $3.33 per share - more than 35% higher than analysts had anticipated.

Apple's report comes on the counters of strong earnings from another computer industry giant Intel, which figured its year-over-year profit just about quadruple in the strongest 2nd quarter in its 42-year history. Both Yahoo Inc. and IBM Corp. also declared profitable quarters this week.

Since Apple started selling its new iPad tablet computing device after the end of the March quarter, gross sales of the device represented were not included in its earnings, but the company has said it sold more than 450,000 of the gadgets in the first week it came up on sale early this month. The devices starting price is at $499.

The company said a more influential and expensive version of its iPad will start out to ship on April 30 with the intention to run on AT&T's 3G cellular data network.

Apple has also declared a new advertising strategy meant to compete with crossed technology competitor Google Inc. The new product, called iAd, will have built-in features in the next variant of Apple's iPhone software allowing it to embed adverts into a lot of the small programs or apps, that run on its mobile devices.
